Welcome to a building company owned and run by a real builder. It seems simple, but many people have their new home built without ever getting to know the people who actually do the building. For Washington, this doesn’t make sense.
Washington was born into a family of builders and took some of his very first steps on building sites. He started out working in the family business and studied for his Diploma of Building before working for a big company, building lots of homes quickly. To Washington, that didn’t seem quite right.
In 2012, aged just 29, he started West Coast Residential with the aim of starting a custom home company run by builders and focussed on building a small number of very well built homes each year.
Meet Washington, and you’ll realise he’s down to earth and genuine, listens and understands the priorities and pressures of the people he builds for, and shares his ideas and experience with a whole team passionate about building homes the right way.
